Before you publish: this policy describes the site as currently configured. If you enable advertising, analytics, a newsletter provider or any embedded third party, have it reviewed against CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and your ad network's own publisher requirements. Google AdSense in particular requires a specific set of disclosures.

What we collect

• Email address, only if you submit the newsletter form. Used to send the newsletter and nothing else.
• Messages you send us: the content of any email you send, so we can reply.
• Aggregate usage data: pages viewed, referrer, approximate region, device type. Used to work out which guides are useful.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, account numbers, Social Security numbers, policy numbers, or health information.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site itself stores one thing in your browser: your light or dark theme preference, kept in local storage on your device. It never leaves your browser.

Analytics is not currently enabled on this site. Third-party advertising is not currently enabled on this site.

Who we share with

Service providers who make the site work: hosting, email delivery, analytics and, where enabled, advertising. We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information if legally required to.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to withdraw consent. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, email us and we will action it.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Retention

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with it.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page.
